Hello Families!

A sincere thank you to those of you who check the blog regularly for news and information.  I will be sending home a paper version this week as well.

This week's cafeteria menu is cycle 6.

Events in February:

We will have no school on Mondays 2-13 and 2-20 in honor of President Lincoln's and President's days perspectively.

There will be a Valentine Dance for students during school hours on Friday 17th.

Thank you to the families who have donated supplies to the classroom of baby wipes and facial tissues!

Some photos of last week's learning...small motor skills development, speech and math skills!

I love children's first drawings of people, this one is one of many that bring a smile not only to me and my staff but the classrooms surrounding us!

Have a blessed week!

Donna :)

News for the Week of January 16, 2017

Hello Families!

It is a short 4 day week this week and weather is supposed to be rainy and cold.  Please dress your children in layers and send extra clothes, pants, shoes and socks for those who can't resist puddles :)

Wednesday this week is an Emergency Preparedness Training for children presented by the Red Cross. They will show students how to prepare for earthquakes, fires and floods and materials as well as a pocket-size first aid kit will be going home that day.

This week's school menu is cycle 4!

Let us all remember to send in our homework on Fridays. Reading logs, playing ball and drawing and coloring pages.

Attendance is very important and if your child is out of school due to illness more than three consecutive days you need to provide a doctor's note upon returning to school.

That's all for this week, have a blessed one!

Donna

Happy New Year!!! News for the Week of January 9, 2017

Happy New Year Families!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and vacation with your children!

As we are trying to get back into the swing of things, please be mindful of the weather and dress your child in layers...label all clothing to insure that it is returning home at the end of the day.

Thank you to the families who have donated facial tissues, baby wipes and bleach wipes to the classroom, helping us all stay healthy!

This week we will focus on getting back into our routine.

Next week Monday 1-16 we will not have school as it is Dr. Martin Luther King's Birthday.

We will be scheduling another field trip soon so look in your child's communication log for permission slips to sign.  Please return as soon as you can so we can plan for transportation.

Again, Happy New Year, we all have many things and people to be thankful and hopeful for.

With warm regards,

Donna :)
